This past week, I not only read about Barry Meguire but was able to hear him speak live. Let me tell yah, his smile is CONTAGIOUS.
And, the joy of the Lord can truly be your strength!
As a high-level leader, you know the importance of staying inspired and motivated in your journey.
That's why I want to share the incredible story of Barry Meguire, a successful Christian businessman who has mastered the art of choosing joy in every aspect of his life.
If you love cars, and you love keeping your car clean, chances are you have used one of Barry’s products to clean or polish your car or truck.
Meguire’s is THE BEST!
In his latest book, "Ignite Your Life," Barry shares a powerful story that illustrates his unwavering commitment to choosing joy.
He faced a challenging situation at work, where he needed to make a tough decision that could significantly impact his business.
He was on the verge of losing his entire business at the age of 65.
Despite the pressure, Barry trusted in God. He went home that night believing that God would honor His Word. Barry then went to bed, slept incredibly, and had the joy to get through the tough decisions.
This decision not only brought peace to his heart but also led to unexpected blessings and growth in his business.
As Barry beautifully puts it, "The joy is in the journey, not the destination."
We must continuously choose joy and trust in God's plan for our lives, even when the going gets tough. ESPECIALLY, when the going gets tough!
I encourage you to reflect on these thought-provoking questions:
How can you choose joy in your daily life, even when faced with challenges and uncertainties?
In what ways can you incorporate your faith and trust in God's plan into your leadership style?
You see, my friend, choosing joy isn't about denying the existence of difficulties or challenges.
It's about recognizing that our faith in God and His love for us is stronger than any obstacle we might face.
When we choose joy, we're making a conscious decision to live our lives with gratitude, positivity, and trust in God's plan.
Make today a day filled with joy. Everywhere you go, think about how you can add joy to the situation.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, so why not ADD IT to everything you do?
Rooting for you. Praying with you. Anthony Thompson
